ParkingZone Privacy Policy

Summary
ParkingZone is operated by Ideas All Day Ltd. Vehicle names and the parking history stay in the app's private local storage. Version 1.2.2 and later also keep registration plates out of ParkingZone's notification database; an earlier installed version may include a plate in a temporary Live Activity scheduling record until that activity is ended or refreshed by the updated app. The app uses optional location, limited event-only product analytics, and technical push data for features described below. It does not sell personal data, show advertising, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
Vehicle and parking data
Vehicle names, brands, registration plates, selected cities, parking timers, history, and app preferences are stored locally in the app's private container. You can edit or delete individual vehicles in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. ParkingZone 1.2.2 replaces older plate-keyed Live Activity records with random vehicle identifiers and removes the legacy plate field when the activity is next scheduled.
When you choose to park, ParkingZone prepares a message containing the selected registration plate and the official short code. Apple's Messages sheet displays it for your review. ParkingZone does not send the SMS automatically; you decide whether to send or cancel it.
Optional location and maps
Location is requested only when you choose Detect My Location. The app uses it to select a nearby supported city and position the map. ParkingZone does not attach your location to product-analytics events or store it in its notification database. You can deny or revoke permission in iOS Settings.
The zone map uses Google Maps SDK services, which may receive ordinary map and device requests under Google's terms. Bundled zone boundaries and city references can become outdated, so always check current signs and official municipal information.
Notifications and Live Activities
Local notification permission is requested after you start a parking session so the app can remind you before expiry. If you use push-updated Live Activities, Firebase Cloud Messaging and Firestore process a random vehicle identifier, scheduled expiry time, environment label, FCM device token, and Live Activity push token. Version 1.2.2 and later do not upload registration plates for this purpose; earlier versions may have included the plate in the temporary scheduling record as explained above.
Firebase App Check uses Apple App Attest to produce app-integrity tokens that help distinguish authentic installations from unauthorized clients. These technical tokens are used for service security and are not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
The scheduled record is deleted after a successful expiry update and is also removed when the related activity is ended or vehicle cleanup runs. Failed delivery is retried up to five times with increasing delays. A terminal failure keeps only the technical record and a coarse error code until the activity is refreshed, ended, or cleaned up; raw FCM response bodies are not retained. Delivery can still be delayed or unavailable because of device settings, network conditions, or Apple and Firebase services.
Analytics and diagnostics
- Aptabase receives limited event names used to understand feature use and reliability. Vehicle details, registration plates, location, preferences, tokens, error text, feature-request text, and message content are not sent as analytics properties.
- Apple may process App Store, device, notification, Messages, and diagnostic information under your settings and Apple's policies.
Website and support
This public website is hosted by Vercel, which may process ordinary request information needed to deliver, secure, and diagnose it. If you email support, Ideas All Day receives the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. Remove registration plates, precise location, and other unnecessary personal information before sending screenshots.
Service providers
Children, security, and changes
ParkingZone is a general parking utility and is not directed to children under 13. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission system is completely secure. This policy may change when the app, providers, or legal requirements change; the date above identifies the current version.
